Fiesta San Antonio is a celebration with a purpose. Fiesta San Antonio started in 1891 with a single parade to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jancito. Fast forward and this 1 Fiesta now has over 100 events that last for 11 days, still honoring the memory of the heroes celebrated in the past but also celebrating the diverse and rich culture of San Antonio. It is now one of the nation's premier festivals and has an economic impact of over $284 million for San Antonio! Fiesta San Antonio is planned and coordinated by the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission, Inc. which is a non-profit, volunteer, self-supporting organization.
