Are you looking for Cinco de Mayo San Antonio celebrations? This weekend May 4th-May 5th Cinco de Mayo San Antonio will be celebrated! This year is special because it marks the 150th anniversary of the victory at the Battle of Puebla. The three day event to celebrate the Mexican Army's defeat of the invading French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862 will take place at historic Market Square. This year the Cinco de Mayo San Antonio celebration is being put on by Farmers Market Association. Enjoy local entertainment such as Mariachis, Tejano and Conjunto music, cultural dances, arts, crafts, children activities, food and more! This is a free event open to the public. Luminaria 2012 is San Antonio's celebration of arts and artists and that will also be celebrated along with Cinco de Mayo San Antonio. With both of these events going on Market Square is expected to be jam packed with over 300,000 people.
