The merriment begins at 6 p.m. when participants start to set up chairs and spread out blankets for the showing. Time is spent getting out all the energy of young moviegoers as a big, bouncy inflatable welcomes kids to jump and play. Cartoons are shown on the big screen before the main attraction. And, fun prizes are raffled off. Various area vendors are onsite with snacks for sale. Residents often pack a picnic in true dinner and a movie style. The Helotes Community Band welcomes all with a lively vibe. Musical concerts begin promptly at 7 p.m.
