Take a break from the hustle of city life and head to Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve. Located just a short drive away from Wortham Oaks homes, the preserve is a 31-acre sanctuary for local wildlife. Green Spaces Alliance received the preserve as a gift in 2010. Since then, the alliance has worked with volunteers to create walking paths for visitors around the city. Benches for relaxing in this natural oasis, as well as picnic areas, are also planned.
Residents of Chesmar Homes Can Participate in the Monthly Nature Walk
Each month, from September to June, a naturalist leads a public hike on the first Saturday of the month. The next one will be held on May 6th from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The tour follows along the mile-long pathway. See the bee hives, meadow planted with flowers attractive to bees, a bird blind, and the stock pond. Participants should keep their eyes open for wildlife sightings. This is a great way to introduce children from Wortham Oaks homes to the wonders of nature. Dogs are also welcome to come along. Tours are offered free of charge, though the alliance depends on donations to continue its preservation work. Reservations are required and can be made online.
Chesmar Homes offer their residents a beautiful home environment. Come visit Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve to relax in nature and learn about the creatures that live here.
