One of the things to decide once you know you’re moving to San Antonio is whether to live in the city itself or go further afield to one of the suburbs. One of the advantages of choosing to live in the suburbs is the fact that you can get more house for your money than in the city. Another advantage to the suburbs is that they are often cities in their own right, with strong local character and traditions. If this appeals to you, be sure to check out Boerne homes. They’re within a 30 minute drive into San Antonio, yet provide a sense of peace and a very hometown feel. Visit to find out why so many people love Texas hill country.
Boerne’s 18th Annual Dickens on Main festival is happening this weekend, Friday, November 24th and Saturday, November 25th. It will be held on the historic Hill Country Mile. The festival is a wonderful way to start the Christmas season. Don’t fill up too much on Thanksgiving leftovers, because the restaurants around the Hill Country Mile will all be open. There will also be a vast array of food trucks, serving up meals, snacks, and drinks.
Everyone from Boerne Homes Enjoys the Dickens on Main Festival
There’s so much to do at the free festival. See “Bah Humbug: A One Man Christmas Carol”, as well as live music and carols. You can also see an ice sculpture demonstration--it’s a fun time with rock n roll and chainsaws. Kids will enjoy the arts and crafts and the 60-foot ice slide. There will be tons of vendors at the festival, so it’s a great time to get some holiday shopping out of the way. There will also be several paid activities, including a petting zoo, carriage rides, and photos with Santa. Get more details about Dickens on Main.
