Runners in Helotes homes have a great opportunity to participate in a race and help community groups. The 10th Annual Chaskis 8K Run & 1-Mile Walk will be held Saturday, March 11th. Packet pickup begins at 7 a.m. Fees for the 8K are $30 for adults, $25 for students, and $20 for kids 12 and younger. Race day registration will be available, but fees will be $5 extra for all groups. The fee for the one-mile walk is $20 for everyone. Chip timing will be done by IAAP. The top three male and female runners in the 8K will receive awards. Awards will also be given to the overall race winners and the top runners in each age group.
