Preparing Your Kids for a Military Move
The Department of Defense has recently put out a new website for military children in an attempt to assist them during the many military moves they will endure throughout their lives. If you think it is difficult for an adult to wrap their mind around moving try explaining that it is time for another military move to a child. The Military Youth on the Move program is designed for children 6-17. On the website challenging situations kids will face before, during and after a move are some topics covered. Military children share their experiences of a military move, being the "new kid" and they offer advice on how to make the transition of a military move easier. Hearing this from other children makes it easier to comprehend.
