Most professionals in the Real Estate industry will tell you that the first step in buying a home is to get pre-qualified for a home loan. Where is the best place to get a mortgage? There are several different avenues of getting a mortgage. You can go to a physical lending institution if you prefer speaking to someone face to face or you can look online for a mortgage. Several options for where to get a mortgage either online or offline are through banks, either smaller local banks or larger nationwide banks, credit unions or mortgage brokers.
Ask your Real Estate agent if they have a mortgage lender that they would recommend. Go to your bank or Credit Union and see what they have to offer. It is suggested that you shop around for a mortgage. Typically, speaking with three mortgage lenders/brokers is a good rule of thumb and won’t affect your credit negatively.
